Just some random thoughts as I peruse the week’s articles…

1. Shouldn’t a TRUE 360 deal include a profit-sharing or stock option for the artist?
2. Shouldn’t the label be (instead of music merchant) a brand champion? A brand expander?
3. Free is the new cheap.

5. Long tail economics only works for aggregators with large catalogs. So, find 100 bands and start a music cooperative. Give away as a group, monetize as a group.
6. Snocap is bullshit. When I see it on someone’s page, I leave.
